Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Missouri is raising $500 to receive a dollar-for-dollar matching grant from Ozarks Food Harvest, the regional food bank for southwest Missouri. The funds are thanks to a grant The Food Bank received from the Walmart Foundation State Giving Program.
This is the ninth annual gift from the Walmart Foundation’s State Giving Program that Ozarks Food Harvest has offered to its agencies as the “Walmart Hunger Challenge” matching grant opportunity. The funds Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Missouri raises will be used to provide food for those in need in Jasper and Newton counties.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Missouri has until February 28, 2019 to raise $500, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar, bringing the total funds to $1,000. Those who wish to donate to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Missouri can give securely online or mail donations to PO Box 819, Joplin, MO 64801. Officials at the nonprofit ask that gifts are designated to be used for the challenge grant.
